WHAT IS CLINICAL COUNSELLING?
Clinical Counseling is a supportive, private space, tailored to your emotional needs to talk about thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and life’s difficulties.
Individuals are invited into a space of security and compassion to explore their emotional and mental health challenges.
The intention is to develop insight into concerns, to adopt coping strategies, and improve well-being through dialogue and between-session activities or exercises.

Risks
Risks:
01
Emotional Discomfort
Discussing challenging thoughts, memories, and feelings can be uncomfortable. It is common to experience some emotional, physical, or psychological discomfort during session.
03
Challenging Experiences
It is possible to feel uncomfortable discussing challenges with your practitioner. That is okay, we are here to support you in finding a solution that feels good for you; if that’s with them, or with another trained professional.
05
Confidentiality
Counseling sessions are confidential AND there are some instances where there is a need to break confidentiality, such as when there is a risk of harm to you or others.
02
Delayed Progress
Counseling may take time to provide relief. Some may need to continue sessions for an extended period to see progress.
04
Dependence
Counselling may be used as a psychological crutch, neglecting between-session work “because I’m going to counselling”. We are here to support independence, empowerment, and self-agency.
